Truevana’s Mission: Simplifying PCS Moves for Service Members

Truevana was founded by Green Beret Michael McDonald and his fellow National Guard member and Green Beret, Andrew Vincello. Their shared experiences in the military, particularly at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), inspired them to create a company that caters to the unique needs of service members undergoing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS). With roots deeply embedded in the military community, Truevana understands the complexities and challenges that come with PCS moves. Michael and Andrew's vision was to simplify this process, making transitions smoother and more manageable for military families.

Getting Started at JBLM

It all began while Michael was stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) with Andrew. They shared a common vision: to simplify the Permanent Change of Station (PCS) process for service members. Their military experiences and understanding of PCS challenges inspired them to create a solution to ease this transition.

Truevana has grown from a local startup to a national force, assisting service members and their families with a wide range of services. From moving household goods to helping service members use their VA loan benefits, Truevana covers it all. Mike retired in late 2023 after 13 years of dedicated military service and is fully committed to easing the PCS process. Andrew, who has his MBA, continues to serve as a Green Beret in the National Guard and brings a wealth of business experience to the table.

A Friendship Forged in Green Beret Training

Andrew and Mike's friendship spans over seven years, rooted in their time together in the Special Forces intelligence course. Their bond, forged on and off the battlefield, has been a cornerstone of Truevana's success. In their free time, they love skiing, spending time with loved ones, trying new foods, and traveling.

Veteran Owned Business with a Mission

What sets Truevana apart is its comprehensive range of services and its foundation built on understanding, experience, and empathy for service members' needs. As a veteran-owned and operated business, Truevana stands as a testament to the dedication and hard work of its founders, Mike and Andrew. They're not just entrepreneurs; they're intense, smart individuals with a deep commitment to serving the military community.

Andrew and Michael utilized their VA loan benefits to buy multifamily properties while they served, living in one unit and renting out the rest. They aim to help service members invest in real estate using their VA loans, setting them and their families up for success after the military.

Supporting PCS and PPM Moves

For military families facing the challenges of PCS, Truevana is more than a service provider – it's an ally. With their unique blend of professional expertise and personal military experience, Mike and Andrew have created a company that truly understands and caters to the needs of those in service. The Personally Procured Move (PPM), formerly known as a do-it-yourself or DITY move, allows military members to be reimbursed for up to 100% of what the moving job would have cost the government. Truevana ensures that everything included in a PCS move, such as transportation, packing, and temporary storage, is handled seamlessly.

Making PCS Moves Easy

Whether you're moving across the country or looking to invest in real estate, Truevana is here to make your journey smoother and more rewarding. The average cost of a PCS move can vary, typically ranging from $4,000 to $10,000, depending on the distance and specifics of the move. To start a PCS move, service members should gather all necessary documentation, schedule the move through their transportation office, and coordinate with Truevana for a stress-free transition.

When it comes to PCS, you're not alone – Truevana is with you every step of the way.
